Additional Notes

Cortland College Foundation pays all fees; they are not deducted from the value of the gift. Cortland College Foundation acknowledges and counts the value of the gift on the date of acquisition:

  • If by mail, the postmark date (Post Office acts as the agent of CCF)
  • If by delivery service, date of receipt (Delivery Company acts as agent for the donor)

Cortland College Foundation Tax ID: #16-0979814

The value of the gift is based on the date that the donor relinquishes dominion and control of the stocks. The average high and low prices of the stock on that date determines the value of the gift. It is the donor’s responsibility to claim the appropriate tax deduction based on current tax law.
